Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes,My husband has groin pain,He has had several nerve blocks but they did not help. We are considering botox injections. The groin pain is in his testicles, penis and at times his rectum. If he lays down the pain goes away, but standing and sitting make the pain worse. We have been to Drs in New hampshire that specialize in PNE and Dr. Hipner in Arizona. We were going to get the botox shots in Arizona but all of a sudden they told us that they could no longer work on men. (they are OB/GYN doctors). Husband has seen 5 urologist and 4 neurologist. Going to see a Dr. O'Conner in Santa Monica tomorrow about Botox injections. He has tried physical therapy and it did provide some relief but only for a few hours. Trigger point injections seemed to help but again only for a few hours. Do you think we should try the botox. Surgery is not an option for him.
