Suggest Treatment For Pain During Intercourse

First time sex hurt but the second time was incredibly painful, it was to the point that I had to ask my boyfriend to stop. He barely got in when I was in so much pain. It seems its the skin at the very bottom of my vagina causing the issue. It is extremely tender to touch and it feels the same to touch as it did when my boyfriend and I had sex. What would cause this and how can I get I sorted?

Hello,

The following might be few causes of your pain during intercourse:
1) Vaginismus meaning involuntary muscle spasm of vagina
2) Injury at the vulval opening
3) Abrasion in the mucosa of vagina
4) Vulvodynia
5) Sexually transmitted infections
6) Reaction to condom

You need to be examined in person by a gynecologist to see if the area is wounded. Please do consult a gynecologist for detailed clinical examination and diagnosis with appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
