Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have bladder pain, burning and urinate alot during the day and night but my dr. says I dont have a UTI..This pain started in April, so its been over 3 months. The symptoms started 1 yr after i had a hysterectomy so I thought maybe that was the cause but I had an exam and culture and my gyno says everything is fine. My culture shows urine epithials 5 to 10 wbcs 3 to 5 and rbcs 1 to 3 bacteria 2 + yeast 1 + and mucus 1+. Could I have a UTI afterall?
I have gone through your question and both your history and urine report point towards the presence of UTI ( urinary tract infection ). Urine is a sterile fluid and presence of WBCs, RBCs, Bacteria etc indicate presence of infection. If I were your treating physician I would like to run a urine culture and an ultrasound to visualize your kidneys, ureters and bladder. Then according to the culture report I would like to prescribe a course of antibiotics in accordance to the severity of infection. I would suggest you consult your local physician for detailed clinical evaluation and further treatment accordingly. In the meanwhile use syp.citraAlka daily as it makes the urine alkaline thus inhibiting infection and maintain good hydration level.
I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
