Suggest Treatment For Pain In Calf Muscles

I have been diagnosed with grade one spondylolisthesis L5 over S1. Often my right outer thigh becomes numb and standing upright is a problem without support of the lumbar belt. Also, I often feel pain on my right calf muscle. Could you suggest the best option from here

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take drugs like gabapentin for pain relief.
In severe cases steroid injection to the spine may be required.
Consult a spine surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
