General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

UTI tends to be chronic in form because of complex anatomy in kidneys. It needs a suitable antibiotic for sufficiently long course (d coded after urine culture & sensitivity test) many times repeated courses in an attempt to cure the infection).

Apart from this complete investigation of kidney function needs to be assessed for proper pain management of joint pain & kidney pain.

I would suggest getting yourself investigated &start with suitable treatment with new suitable antibiotic as well as other needful medication with expert advice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
