Suggest Treatment For Pain While Recovering From Testicular Torsion
Hi I recently had a testicular torsion, 7/31 and I went to the doctors yesterday about 8 days later and he cleared me to go to work however I went to work today and my testicles were still very sore. Should I continue to go to work because my surgeon said I was ok or take a few days off. Also could the pain be from not masterbaiting since the surgery. Any advice would be great thanks. Ps I m 20
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If pain persist, it is better to go for a repeat ultrasound scan to look for vascularity. You can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain. It is better to take rest for two weeks. Avoid strenuous exertion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
