Hi I have a Bartholin cyst and it recently started to be painful when I move sit or lay down. The size is probably like a marble. I ve done all my stds. Also, I just got prescribed antibiotics . What are the chances it will heal completely so that I won t have to get surgery. I have no medical . What else can I do aside from a sits bath. And I ve also noticed some white discharge coming out but it does not smell or have weird coloring. Is that normal ?
Hello I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Bartholin cyst with recurrent infection need drainage, white discharge may be pus. Continue the procedure of sitz bath adding Epsom salt or betadine solution for better results, keep the area clean. Discuss with your treating doctor other methods of treatment like carbon dioxide laser, needle aspiration, silver nitrate gland ablation if surgical treatment is inconvenient. Other than this antibiotics and sitz bath is the medically proven solution. Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
