Understanding your concern. As per your query you have swollen tonsils along with swelling and numbness on one side of face . Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as sinusitis along with tonsillitis . Usually when infection like sinusitis left untreated it will spread to upper respiratory track and cause tonsillitis . I would suggest you to to consult ENT specialist without any delay because if it is not treated it can complicate the situation and doctor may recommend tonsillectomy . Doctor may order blood test , swab test and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( penicillin ) along with anti inflammatory . Do betadine gargles and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
