Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump On Temple And High WBC Count
I was just in the hospital last week for passing a kidney stone while in the hospital the doctors discovered I had a high white blood cell count. They put me on antibiotics ciprofloxacin and I went home. I have since found a lump on my temple that is causing me pain, could the lump be from the high white blood cell count?
I agree with your doctors to have put you on Ciprofloxacin for your high white blood cell count. No, the lump is not caused by the high white blood cell count. It could be due to a local injury that you did not notice. Apply ice pack to the affected area and take simple painkillers like Acetaminophen. It should be gone soon.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shanthi E., General & Family Physician
