Suggest Treatment For Painful Lymph Nodes In The Groin Area
Hi, this is about lymph nodes, I have had painful ones in my groin and under my arms/chest for about 5 weeks. I just had IVF three weeks ago. I am not pregnant. One week after I went to ER with a rapid heart beat (170) and chest pains, but was discharged. I then got an aggressive cold/ flu three days after that and it lasted 15 days. I am finally better after a Z Pack but my lymph nodes are still causing a weird radiating pain in my body about 3-4 hours after I wake up. Even 1000 mg tylenol doesn t help ease the discomfort. Any reason to be worried?
Lymphnodes after having a flu like syndrome might be caused from self limiting conditions like mononucleosis or citomegolovirus infections. These are generally infections that might cause similar symptoms to flu but might cause generalized lymphnodes which should fade gradually with time.
Other then these it can be other infections or conditions that can be more important that might need to be ruled out if the lymphnodes are not getting better in a period of 2 months. In this case some blood tests can be done to rule out other infections or problems with the blood or immune conditions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
