What Causes Leg Pain After Chlamydia Treatment?

Hi I am experiencing continued leg pain after chlamydia treatment. It is on my right leg and it has been a month since I was given drugs for chlamydia. I have swollen lymph nodes in my groin area in the right side. These symptoms were there before the treatment but are still there a month after. What could it be?

Hi there.
Lymphadenitis & Swollen lymph nodes & involvement of the region forming what we commonly address in medical parlance as a 'bubo' are common features of a chlamydial infection as complications.
Please do get back to your doctor & perhaps an FNAC of the area may be required & it is possible the treatment was inadequate or the organism was 'resistant' to the antibiotic used. Please do a pus culture sensitivity that will tell you what antibiotic is most effective & take it from there.
Do take it for the prescribed length /duration as advised.
Good Luck.
Do remember to practice safe sex hitherto.
