Suggest Treatment For Painful Right Rib Inspite Of Having A Fractured Shaft
Hi, i fell down frm the stairs a month ago,ct scan rprt says fracture shaft in 3rd & 4th rib, dr suggsted rest and use of icd pack with two medicines ultracit and voveran. But after everything i stll ve severe pain in my right rib,sometimes i cannt speak,stand n sit even.today dr sugg forf mri to chk if there is any soft tissue damage due to fall.plz suggest how long i ll ve to bear it and why is the pain stll severe after a month even.is there any othr trtmnt for it or it has some other symtoms.as i m wrkng so how long i ll be on rest.
No need to go for MRI , as it is very common for fracture rib to cause such pain for two to three months. This is because ribs keep moving with every respiration and so healing is little slow. So I would like to suggest you that you keep on taking voveron. I would also like to tell you that you should avoid coughing and sneezing as these movements will cause more pain. Also do not lie down on affected side.
