Suggest Treatment For Painful Thumb

I hurt my thumb two years ago and have pain in the thumb. my thumb is not broken and can move it and no swelling. but there is pain in the thumb that won't go away. I don't whats going on and I took the x-ray and the doctor told me that there is nothing wrong with it. I feel that there is something wrong with my thumb but i don't know why the pain won't go away. please respond as soon as possible.
