Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

The pain is due to traumatic muscle concussion.
You can apply ice to reduce the swelling and take Advil 600 mg up to 4 times daily to reduce pain and swelling. Avoid activities that trigger pain.
If no improvement is noticed in next 3 days, follow up with your primary care provider to get an Xray done to rule out fracture.

Regards
Dr.Lekshmi
