Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cold And Sneezing In An Infant
HELLO DOCTOR, MY 12 MONTHS OLD SON IS HAVING CONSTANT COUGH & SNEEZING WITH RUNNY NOSE. HE IS NOT ABLE TO SLEEP IN NIGHT AND GETS UP WITH SEVERE COUGH AND GAG LIKE REFLEX (STRUGGLING TO BREATH). HE IS COMFORTABLE IN DAY TIME AND THE PROBLEM STARTS IN THE NIGHT AND PEAKS EARLY MORNING. I HAVE BEEN GIVING HIM T- MINIC SYRUP AND NASAL DROPS FOR 10 DAYS NOW. BUT NO IMPROVEMENT. KINDLY ADVISE.
As per your query about treatment for persistent cold and sneezing in an infant of 12 months and having breathing difficulty at night shoes infection of respiratory tract and needs antibiotic treatment after consult a pediatrician and a proper examination. Sometimes infection may proceed to pneumonia so a proper evaluation and examination of baby is needed beside giving timinic syrup and nasal drops, nebulization may be needed.
I hope this information helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
