Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough Post Treatment For Pneumonia
I have a persistent cough that I have now had without being sick, for about 1-2 months. It happens when I breathe in, then a have a slight nagging cough. My lungs have been an issue since I had pneumonia a couple of years ago. My Dad passed away from lung disease.
Hi Persistent cough for two months calls for an immediate sputum examination and a chest x-ray as you could have been infected with TB.
You haven't provided any smoking history so I'm not going to consider COPD here.
But it appears as if you have allergy issues from the nagging cough following breathing history. Your airways are probably hyper responsive right now. If this is the case then you'd get these episodes which completely resolve only to recur later in winter seasons or when exposed to some allergens. I mean that maybe you have asthma.
I'd advise you to take following treatment for now Syp. Salbutamol 5ml twice daily Syp. Asthakind D 5ml twice daily Tab. Bactoclav 625mg twice daily for five days Tab. Acetein 600mg one to two times daily to be dissolved in half glass of water(It's a mucolytic so it'd help you with the viscosity of the phelgm)
