Suggest Treatment For Persistent Dizziness In An Elderly Person

Hi Im 50 years old I have this episode of dizziness for a long time now and it affects my eyesight when it attacks. One day I woke up feeling weird i couldnt get up, its like my head pulls me down. I was in bed for the whole day but when I finally able to get up is like I was drunk and out of balance. Doctors couldnt find anything and gave me tablets for dizziness. I have been like this for years now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to Meniere disease. I suggest consulting an ENT specialist for further treatment. Meanwhile, I suggest using the Meclizine hydrochloride for the dizziness. I also suggest to eat healthily and avoid salt in the diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
