I have a migraine hx., a couple months ago I had one so bad I was taken to my pain clin ic for tx. and stil am having trouble, with evening pain that is stabbing in nature in my neck, skull, and right eye, the eye being the most problematic. My eye only opens about half way and has a bag under it, looks awful. What follow up tests would you suggest?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent migraines . Well there can be many trigger factory for migraine , which need to avoid to prevent migraine like aged cheeses , food additives , alcohol , especially wine , stress , bright lights , sun glare weatherr or oral contraceptives . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe vasograine , diuretic , along with calcium channel blockers . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain , avoid trigger factors , lower your salt consumption and do mind relaxing exercises like meditation .
