Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain After Knee Surgery

Hi, My mom just had knee surgery (2wk ago yest) Vicodin did not work for her while in hosp. changed to Percocet. Yesterday at first F/U changed her to hydrocodone ( its not helping) I am confused with all the names Oxycodone, Hydrocodone and OxyContin. Plus isn t Vicodin Hydrocodone? Please HELP! My name us Deb

We will try to help you in the best way possible.First of all it's sad to know what your mother had been going through lately.Based on the history you have shared, she needs to be put on more potent analgesics like Tramadol or Gabapentin. Along with it she can use other analgesics like Acetaminophen and Naproxen.
