Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain In The Hip

I recently went to the VA Hospital due to pain i have been having in my hip for over a year now. About a week and a half ago the pain intensified drastically and has not gone away. Sitting standing and walking all cause pain. I had an MRI and I was told I have early Avascular Necrosis in the Right Femoral Head. I see Ortho at the VA hospital tomorrow and was wondering if you can give me any insight as to what they might suggest. I am in nearly constant pain at this point so hearing early stages has not given me much comfort. I am 43 years old and have a fairly active lifestyle, in reading online I have heard mixed feeling regarding core decompression, and many have suggested that just delays things and it is better to just get the THR done. My concern is I have also read that THR only lasts about 20 years and doing a revision is not as reliable. I want to be able to walk as long as i can. I know the doctor will answer some or all of these questions but I am really anxious about this whole thing. Thanks in advance.
