Suggest Treatment For Persistent Rashes On The Thighs

Hi Dr Rynne I have a rash on the back thigh of my right leg I initially thought it was poison ivy, but now not sure. It itches, is raised, red/purple, and is rough. It covers almost the entire back of my leg. I have other places behind the knee on the other leg, and at both ankles. They all start out as small bumps and itch.

Hello,

As of now, you can take drugs like cetirizine for symptomatic relief.

You can also apply low potency topical steroid like betamethasone also. If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
