Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I suffer with vertigo from time to time. I took a family trip from Tx to Calif and back going to many high elevations. A week later i had a bad attack where i had sat down in my recliner and i had to hold on and began to panic. I had sensation the floor opened up and i was plunging at speed of light. This was worse and different. Today i experienced when staring at a door, it all became wavy and dancing. Sometimes the top of my head feels weird. Is this all part of inner ear or brain malfunction? What specialty Dr should i see? I am 62 and female, dont take any prescriptions and BP usually normal.

Suggest Treatment For Persistent Vertigo
Hello, As per your history, it may be due to BPPV. For that, you can take tablet betahistine after consultation. Continue Epley manoeuvre as advised by ENT surgeon. Avoid sudden head movements. Take proper rest. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
