These may be due to side effects of drug, food poisoning, gut infection, bowel obstruction etc. These have to be ruled out by taking a proper history of your symptoms and clinical examination. Some investigation may also help. A projectile vomiting just after taking food indicates
gastric outlet obstruction. Vomiting after 2-3 hr after taking food may be seen in small bowel pathologies.
As there is a high chance of developing
dehydration and electrolyte disbalance frequent sips of ORS are to be taken. If there is a tendency of vomiting after taking ors, take it more frequently in a smaller amount per time. Oral
metoclopramide or ondansetron has a role to get symptomatic relief from vomiting. In case of
severe vomiting iv or im route of administration is preferred. Proper rest is also recommended.
If the symptoms are not getting cured or there are signs of dehydration or shock like much fall in blood pressure, prominent
muscle cramps, extreme thrust, lack of urination, dizziness or confusion you have a need of urgent medical attention.
