Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
You seem to have inflammatory acne. Inflammatory acne has the potential to cause scarring and leave behind post-inflammatory
hyperpigmentation, specially in skin of color.
Treatment should therefore be apt and without delay. I would suggest you to visit your dermatologist; your doctor will be able to assess the severity of your acne and guide you accordingly.
Treatment of acne mainly revolves around topical antibacterials like
clindamycin, nadifloxacin; topical benzoyl peroxide; topical
retinoids.
Topical antibacterials and topical benzoyl peroxide are antiinflammatory. In addition topical benzoyl peroxide is
keratolytic in action.
Topical Retinoids are beneficial in acne because of there comedolytic properties.
Oral antibacterials e.g
Azithromycin Or Doxycycline may be again started in your case since you seem to have inflammatory acne.
Oral retinoids are also an option for you. Oral retinoids are indicated for moderately severe to severe inflammatory acne Or acne that is resistant/relapses quickly after traditional antiacne medicines Or acne associated with significant scaring.
You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your treating dermatologist along with the oral and topical treatment.
