Suggest Treatment For Pimples With Pus On Face And Scalp

Hi, I have pimple with pus on my face as well as on my scalp. It gets completely clear when I used Doxy -1l and PAN D for a month . Dr on analysis suggested that it s an infection and may be case of barbers Itch. However after 15 days of treatment it starts again. Please suggest if there is any permanent solution to this. Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query pimples with pus on face and scalp is mainly symptoms of severest form of acne known as cystic acne. Pimple occur when a pore in your skin gets clogged with dead skin cells and start causing infection there. Hormonal change during puberty , androgen hormones are one of the causative factors for this. I would suggest you to exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant. Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore. Wash your face using a mild soap or cleanser and lukewarm water 3-4 times daily. Drink plenty of water. Take diet rich in multivitamins. If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics like clindamycin , Isotretinoin or Hormone Therapy.
