Suggest Treatment For Placenta Previa During 24 Weeks Of Pregnancy
I m 24 weeks pregnant with twins one girl and one boy. I have pre placenta previa today they told me that my boy they found on ultra sound that his heart showed possible signs of downs syndrome but my doctor told me she was not worried. What signs would you find. why would she tell me this and then say not to worry?
Low lying placenta at 24 weeks of pregnancy can migrate up as pregnancy advances. If you don't have any episodes of bleeding then you need not worry. A repeat scan at 30 - 32 weeks can be done to localize placenta. If you have bleeding or spotting try to take rest ,avoid carrying weight, exercise, climbing stairs and any strenuous physical activity.
Regarding signs of downs syndrome i would like to know whether you have done your NT and anomaly scan? If possible please attach the reports/mention the findings so that i can give you an opinion regarding he issues. Please get back to your general physician with the reports.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Praseetha Narayanan, OB & GYN Specialist
