Hello

I am greatly concerned with your disease. Polymyositis is an autoimmune condition against body muscles.
You are already taking steroids which are the mainstay of the treatment.
There are also some other treatment options available which includes immuno-suppressants and Rituximab.

I suggest you to visit your rheumatologist and discuss further treatment options with him/her as these medications require specialist care attention

I hope i have answered your query.
I find this answer helpful
