Suggest Treatment For Presence Of Blood In The Urine
Every few months I get a sudden discharge of blood in my urine, then in the same stream, the urine appears normal. I have test strips and test the next time I go and the results have been negative for blood. I was able to collect a bit of urine from the time I saw blood and the test strip was positive. I am now 2 days removed from my last visible signs and all tests strips have been negative.
Blood in urine could be due to UTI, stone and any growth in urinary tract, excessive dehydration, polycystic kidney, benign prostatic hyperplasia. I would suggest to consult urologist and undergo complete urine examination: routine, microscopic examination, culture and sensitivity test, USG scan, cystoscopy if needed, serum PSA, kidney function test.
Treatment will depend on specific cause. Meanwhile drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple. Maintain proper pelvic hygiene and do not delay in empty bladder.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
