Suggest Treatment For Productive Cough And Blocked Ears
I have had a productive cough for ages together with always sounding nasally, ears are always blocked and feel dead which can affect balance. Ears continually click and possibly have a patulous eustachian tube. Have tried neti pot, taken omneprazole (doc thinks I could have silent reflux) also used a steroid nasal spray and citerazine really gets me down
Chronic cough is most commonly caused by: (1) post nasal drip (2) asthma (3) reflux, though there can be other causes.
The fact that your ears feel blocked and you have nasal congestion may imply that your symptoms are more likely related to post nasal drip. If you are already using a nasal spray and an anti histamine consistently with no improvement, then you may want to consider allergy testing to see if there is a particular allergen that can be identified and eliminated.
I hope this helps
