Suggest Treatment For Protruding Bump Between My Son S Spinal Cord And Anus
Hi there! My son a 30-month old boy, has a protruding bump between his spinal cord and his anus. Since the bump is symmetrical between them, I m suspecting that it could be the lumbar, the end of the cord. I can feel the bump as big as the tip of my little finger (approx. 2.5 -3.5 in diameter). Is it common for toddlers to have that?
If bony, this may indicate normal prominence of the coccygeal tip. Otherwise, we have to consider minor forms of neural tube defect. Kindly get it examined with your pediatrician
