Hello, You have a history of fracture patella, now you are having discomfort at your knee joint. Discomfort post-fracture is commonly patella-femoral osteoarthritis & loss of knee motion. You are suggested to get physically examined by a GP & get tests for RA & OA done. Get treated. You can take NSAIDs(Naproxen) for relief from discomforts. Pain radiating from hip to knee is commonly due to Sciatica. The leg may also feel tingly, weak & numb at times. Pain may also radiate from the knee to the foot. Get examined by a GP. You may need muscle relaxants and anti-depressants. Get all the blood & imaging tests done to detect factors that are responsible for causing sciatica pain like degenerative disc disease, lumbar spinal stenosis, etc. Hot & cold compression, exercises & physiotherapy are effective for relieving sciatica.
