Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Chest While On Hydrocodone
My husband is on hydrocodone and had a rash on his chest and under the right arm--- had surgery on right shoulder rotor cup. I have put itch cream on it. Should we be worried. He has been taking this drug for a few days now. Thank you. Can t afford to do this. We are retired and on strict budget. Sorry.
The rash which your husband is developing can be a side effect of Hydrocodone. You can report to your doctor & get the medicine replaced by some other medication that suits your husband better.
Apply hydrocortisone ointment in the area affected. You can also use water based moisturizer. Sometimes, antihistamines interact with Hydrocodone. Do not take the two medications at the same time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
