Suggest Treatment For Rectal Abscesses During Pregnancy?

I've had a couple rectal abcesses before and a anal fistula suregery just 9 months ago. The abcesses, the Dr would just cut and handle in his office, I would stay in bed a couple days with some Hydrocodone and deal with it, but I am now 4 months pregnant, how is it handled in this case?

What ever is the condition otherwise, abscess has to be incised, opened and drained. Now since you are pregnant, during and after this procedure, utmost care has to be taken to prevent the contamination of infection to vagina lest the foetus may get infected and the risk of intra-uterine foetal death.
Please give information of your pregnancy to the surgeon who is treating your abscess in advance.
I am more worried about these repeated incidences of rectal abscesses and anal fistula. Is it a fistula or fissure? If fistula, where is it opening? Vagina or outside? If in vagina, you have to take maximum care to avoid intra vaginal infection. Proper treatment by surgery is the only option. You should consult a competent surgeon and get rid of them permanently by proper treatment and modification in life style and diet.
