Suggest Treatment For Red Blotchy Spot On The Palms
From time to time i will have a red blotchy spot appear on the palm of my hands that is heat sensitive and warm to the touch it usually goes away after a few days and it could appear on either hand just the palm and never appears on my feet, do I have some kind of disease? I don t drink much alcohol and I don t really work with my hands for work.
The red blotchy spots only on the palms may indicate photo sensitivity due to certain auto immune changes in the melanin pigmentation most likely. A detailed history, physical examination is mandatory to find out the possible other causes and manage accordingly. Primary guidelines: - Keep hands clean with antiseptic liquid or soap - Local application of aloe vera gel in episode of spots appearance - Calamine lotion before exposure to sun rays - Avoid triggers as alcohol or other recreational drugs if using - Better to avoid prolong sun exposure
