Suggest Treatment For Red Spots And Swelling Of Tongue
have pnuemonia and was taking biaxin (generic) also prednisone, finished meds and of course have the metallic taste but have red spots on my tongue and it was a bit swollen (though not uncomfortably so) was wondering if since yeast is a side effect is this part of that and how do i get rid of it??
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain metallic taste in mouth along with inflamed tongue causing red spots and swelling seems to be due to side effect of the antibiotic [biaxin] and these are relatively common symptoms caused as a side effect of these medicines.. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles, take tylenol if there is pain, gargle with 1:1 solution of milk of magnesia and benadryl and suck ice pops.. Take multivitamin supplements. You can chew flavoured sugarfree chewing gums to mask the metallic taste and drink plenty of water... Avoid spicy food..
Hope this information helps..
