Suggest Treatment For Red Swollen Lump In Underarm
My soon to be 89 year old Mom found an underarm small (pea size) lump, two, yesterday. we are seeing her pcp tomorrow. the lumps are slightly red. What do swollen lymph nodes from cancer look like. In other words, if these swollen nodes are from breast cancer, what is the usual appearance. I m praying they will be something benigh.
even though from far i can't reassure you a 100% about the cause for the lymphnode swelling of your mother, but:
swollen red lymphnodes are mostly due to a temporary infection which will go away once the infection is found and treated. Also i am assuming that they appeared sort of quick, while cancerous lymphnodes typically are not red and don't hurt a lot or not at all, and are growing slow and don't appear out of the blue rather quickly. So i think from your description there is good chances it will turn out to be benign and i am wishing you that also! Hope this is helping you a little, if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards
