Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve noticed a smallish reddish lump just under the skin on my breast. At first it was flattish and red. Next day it was rounder and harder, still red. Looked a bit like a bite reaction and when I squeezed it some pus came out. Made me think it was a boil. Over next couple of days pus still came out when squeezed but it never came to a head like a boil would. Now nothing comes out but it s still there although it seems a little smaller. No pain.
You have a small lump under the skin of your breast. You should not scratch, touch, pick or squeeze it. Since you have already squeezed it and pus comes out, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Clinical examination is a must to confirm breast lumps, your treating doctor will recommend a mammogram or breast ultrasound to be done. In addition, biopsy, breast MRI, PET / CT or scintimammography may be recommended to confirm if the lump is benign or malignant. It will be treated accordingly. Avoid stressful lifestyle. Get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
