Suggest Treatment For Right Ankle Pain While Running

Hi, I recently started running and training for Marathon. Its been a week. After a couple of runs, on one of the run, my inner ankle of right foot started hurting after 3-4km and the left foot got numb. The numbness went away after i stopped running, and the ankle has healed after 3 days of rest and applying cold pack. I am 32 years old and not very physically active. Also I noticed that my right foot (the one with ankle pain) hits the ground at an angle rather than straight. Please let me know, what the problem could be?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Since you are not normally physically active, it is possible that you may have strained one of the ligaments in the ankle joint.

You may need to rest again and restrict unnecessary movement. In addition start reapplying ice.

You may need to look at your footwear to see if it can be improved to reduce impact on the ankles

I hope this helps
