I just operated last 26th on may 2011of a tumor on my left side of my head .This morning my doctor told me that the biopsy result was sebaceous carcinoma then he referred me to other doctor to wider the excision around the region is this the right idea and what do you think i do please i need help thanks
Sebaceous carcinoma is a type of skin cancer that develops in the glands of the skin. The treatment is wide excision of the lesion surgically. If the lesion has already been removed then ask whether the margins of excision are free of tumor. If so, then re-surgery is not required. If one or more margins are involved by the tumor, or margins cannot be commented upon then re-excision is a must. Also, the re-surgery should be done only by a trained cancer surgeon.
