Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Cramps Post An Intercourse

My boyfriend and I had sex. About 20 minutes later, I started cramping like a period. I went to the bathroom, and am spotting light pink blood. I ve already had my period this month, have no medical history with this. It s the first time it s happened.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pain in the abdomen and pink spotting following intercourse could be due to the presence of inflammation in the cervix (cervicitis) or due to the presence of a uterine polyp.

Kindly take an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and consult Obstetrician with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
