Suggest Treatment For Severe Ankle Pain

Hi I picked up a childrens metal scooter, and it swung around and hit me on the outer ankle. It hurt at the time, but only for a minute or two. Then about 2hrs later it hurt when u put pressure on it to walk. This happend twice. I woke up a few times in the night from it hurting. Its the next morning and its hurting, like an aching sensation right around my ankle up to my toes..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
dear friend
how long back did the injury take place
if it is very recent please get an x ray done and see if there is a fracture in the lateral malleolus
if it is an old injury that is more than week old and there is no fracture then you have something called periostiatis due to trauma
simple painkillers for a few days and some patience will cure the condition
if it still persists then please see an orthopedician
I find this answer helpful
