Suggest Treatment For Severe Chest Pain Caused After A Walk
I have had severe chest pain since March. The chest spasms seemed to have stopped but when I walk or try to run the pain and pressure returns. The pain is quite sharp and I have to stop walking. I m now starting to take the elevator instead of stairs. I ve always been active in sports so this situation is extremely troublesome. I don t know why I got the pain to begin with or why it won t go away. I m extremely tired as the pain and day to day tasks take a lot out of me. Any thoughts.........?
You are having chest pain when you walk or run, it is causing discomfort and hence you have to take elevators. Your symptoms are indicative of Exercise induced bronchospasm. It should be treated at the earliest. Get clinically examined by a GP. You may need short acting or long acting bronchodilators to prevent symptoms. You may need inhalers.
Get all routine cardiac function tests as well as blood tests, lipid function tests and imaging tests done to rule any developing CAD, coronary artery disease that is causing discomfort. Take adequate rest and quality sleep. Stay away from stressful lifestyle.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
