Suggest Treatment For Severe Cold And Cough After Adenoids Tonsillectomy Surgery

my son is 7 years old. He was having cold and cough problem since birth. He had adenoids surgery tosillectomy during January 2013. Frequently he gets cold and then cough starts. That too it is a severe cough. A doctor has prescribed the daily usage of levosteride and Formoterol Fumarate and Budesonide powder ( Budamate 200) for inhalation daily. Will there be any improvement if we use these medicines and will there be any side effects, since his age is only 7 years.

As per your complain it seems that severe cough and cold can be due to causes like chronic or recurring upper respiratory tract infection, bronchitis, allergies etc..
The medications given to her are a combination of anti allergics and steroids and will definitely help in reducing his symptoms but giving a lot of these medications can cause habit of getting relief from the medication only..
I would suggest you to as of now continue taking these medications but you should also consult a Paediatrician and get him evaluated and investigations like allergic tests, chest x ray and blood test to rule out for infection can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
In case if there is infection treatment of the same can help..
In case if there is allergic reaction then anti allergics and steroids as advised can help.
