Hello and welcome to HCM,
The symptoms of cold, blocked nose, ear symptoms suggest infection of upper respiratory tract with involvement of ear along with nose.
The ear is connected to throat and nose, thus infection of one site can spread to the other.
Pain in ear and whistling sounds in ear indicate infectious process in the ear most probably middle ear.
A complete examination of ear including middle ear and inner ear is required to know the status.
Appropriate treatment can be instituted after clinical assessment.

Thanks and take care
