Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough Inspite Of Taking All Ayurvedic Treatment

Hello Dr. I am suffering from cough problem from the past 7 years and i had undergone all types of treatment(allopathy,homeopathy and ayurvedic) but no result.From the past 3 years sometimes cough will be coming with black in colour.I had gone all types of diagnosed also but the results are negative.And i am getting frequently cough and cold problem atlest every second month with sore throats. Please help me i am getting frustrated.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of coughing for 7 years in spite of all sort of treatments- allopathy, homeopathy and ayurveda.
For the past 3 years the coughing is with black phlegm and have gone for all sort of diagnostic tests. Getting frequent cold and cough problems almost every second month and with sore throat.

I would advise you the following considering your detailed history.
This looks to be a reduced resistance power of body catching cold easily that gets converted to coughing and further problems.
I would advise you to take a therapeutic dose of Vitamin A and D as this will allow the regeneration of the mucosa well. Continue with multivitamins.
Once the cough starts send the sample of phlegm for gram staining, AFB staining, culture and sensitivity.
Also send for detection of fungus and all other relevant tests of blood and urine.
CT scan ofthe chest
Bronchoscopy and so on.
All these points may help to get to the diagnosis and get a proper treatment.
