Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea

I ve been having diarrhea for a week. No vomiting and not feeling flush. Nothing I ve eaten seems to had set it off. I was house sitting for my brother who has kids so I thought I caught the stomach bug being there but after 3 days I was concerned. It s been 8 days and my stool seems like its seaweed with mucus mix. My stomach cramps then I use the restroom 5-7 times. Sometimes in the night my stomach wakes me up. No blood found as I checked for that just the cramps and diarrhea for 8 days. Any ideas what this coud be?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
After going through the description of your problem, it appears that you must have caught up with 'amoebic dysentery'.
Take Tablet Secnidazole Forte, two tablets at once as single dose after food. Drink plenty of water and Oral Re-hydration Solution.
Your diarrhea should subside within a day or two.
