Suggest Treatment For Severe Ear Infection

I went to an immediate care clinic about 2 weeks ago. The doctor said that I had a severe ear infection and a hole in my eardrum. He put me on 875mg of augmentin every 12 hours and ofloxacin ear drops daily. My ear hurts after the drops have been administered. Is there something else that can be done? Will I need surgery to fix the hole?
