Suggest Treatment For Severe Flank Pain While Having Kidney Stone
Hi, I was sure I had a kidney stone as I am having severe pain in my left flank. Ultrasound yesterday showed no stone in my left kidney and appeared normal however this is what was found in my right kidney: -Mild right hydronephrosis/pelvicaliectasis with several small punctate hyperechoic foci representing vascular calcifications versus nonobstructing stones. My first question is- is this something I need to be worried about and see a urologist for? My second question is - I was diagnosed with Spondyloslisthesis several years ago and the first time I mistook it for a kidney stone. Perhaps that is causing my current pain? It s been several years since I ve experienced it and if I remember correctly I saw a spine Dr. Who did injections to relieve the pain...is this still what protocol would be? Thank you for your time. Brenda
It may be due to kidney stone. For further assessment you may require complete hemogram, urine analysis, ultrasound abdomen after urologist consultation. For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen. You may require surgical intervention after surgeon consultation. Keep your self hydrated. You can take syp. Cital.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
