Suggest Treatment For Severe Headaches And Pain In The Neck

My husband has severe pain in the sides of his neck going across his forehead and also a headache. I m sure it is caused by allergies or sinus infection however, the sulfa med he was given isn t helping him. I ve heard that diet has a lot to do with this condition. What are your thoughts/recommendations for this problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In order to find the real reason which is causing this pain, he may need to do an X-ray of neck and head.

A possible cause may be spondyloarthritis of the neck or bulging disc. Also, a sinus infection may be a cause but it is accompanied by running nose and breathing difficulties.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
