Suggest Treatment For Severe Nausea And Pain Between The Ribs

I ate some fried chicken from Roy Rogers on Sunday afternoon, felt sick like queasy and nausea then on Monday I had severe pain between by two ribs upper abdomen feels like tightening and like pins and needles at other times. Could it be my Hiatal Hernia? It has not bothered me in over 15 years. Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, it can be the reason but before jumping to the least possible diagnosis. I think it can be a simple case of food poisoning or upper gastroenteritis. Ton rule out the cause you need to get an ultrasound of upper abdomen done as soon as possible. During mean time maintain you body fluids by taking plenty of fluids. You can also take pantoprazole 40mg daily empty stomach early in morning that will be helpful in both the cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
